Creating Opportunities Through Education

The Louis Carter Foundation scholarship programme is designed to support students not only academically, but also in developing the character and life skills needed to become responsible members of society.

To train students to acquire relevant life skills for higher education and meaningful living in society.

Criteria For Selection

The Foundation considers students based on their educational status, financial circumstances, residency and academic performance.

Indigene & Residency

Indigenes and non-indigenes resident in Uruagu may be considered for the scholarship programme.

Academic Qualification

Students who have passed the JSSCE examination and are preparing to enter SS1.

Demonstrated Need

Students who are genuinely indigent, with information ascertained from teachers, school authorities and parents.

Academic Excellence

Academic excellence and commitment to education are considered as part of the selection process.

Supporting Students Beyond Secondary School

The Foundation also supports students who have gained admission into higher institutions and require assistance to continue their educational journey.

Undergraduate scholarship applicants must satisfy the Foundation's requirements and provide the necessary documentation for consideration.
